This piece utilized our entire palette. I learned some important things about composition while painting this piece. Once I was finished, it seemed strangely empty, so I went back and added in the pocket watch. What a difference that made!
This is the first painting I did in my first class. In a single class. I know some people would be all ‘poo poo’ about putting up your first crappy little painting, but you gotta start somewhere. Besides, I felt really accomplished after that class.
